Chances are, you’ve noticed growth occurring in your body in more than one way. A common encounter for both teen girls and boys is the appearance of hair, particularly on the underarms, legs, and genital areas. For girls, other physical changes include a growth spurt, the development of breasts, rounding of hips, and menstruation. Boys will also experience a growth spurt, but this usually occurs 1-2 years later than it does for girls. For boys, other physical changes include growing facial hair, deepening of the voice, and the beginning of sperm production.
